NFT Collection

Every NFT in Captain's Helm has a purpose. Resources seed the economy, bottles generate $RUM, passes drive events, and Fleet Era assets unlock strategic gameplay. The Helm rewards captains who use what they find — not those who let it gather dust in the hold.

Resources

Resources are the backbone of Captain's Helm. They're dug from the ScurvyBot dig pool (!dig) and fuel almost every part of the ecosystem — from blending Treasure Hunt passes and bottles to crafting ships and pirates, and especially Black Market deals.

Core resources (rarity)

  • Driftwood Shard — Common
  • Coral Bead — Uncommon
  • Kraken Ink — Rare
  • Golden Fang — Epic
  • Pirate's Relic — Mythic

Their purpose is to move, not sit idle. They are generated often, then burned often — an inflationary capacitor that keeps the economy active instead of stagnant.

The mythic-tier resource is the strongest ingredient in the hold — used for the rarest bottles, ships, and pirates, and for access paths like the Gilded Treasure Hunt Pass (see Events & Systems).

Map Fragments (I–VI)

Map Fragments are also part of the dig pool — and they were the first NFTs of the project. They started as a pure crafting layer (blend fragments → maps → treasure), but today they also show up as ingredients for Black Market deals and Treasure Hunt passes — giving them multiple roles across the economy.

Fragment list

  • Fragment I: North Shore Cliffs
  • Fragment II: Serpent's Pass
  • Fragment III: The Kraken's Spine
  • Fragment IV: Drowned Grotto
  • Fragment V: Skull Rock Fork
  • Fragment VI: X Marked Dunes

See Events & Systems for Treasure Hunt passes and Black Market sinks.

RUM Bottles

Bottles generate $RUM hourly through staking on StakeItOnWax. Each upgrade requires 3 bottles of the tier below, plus $RUM and resources — creating a compounding ladder with strong sink pressure.

Bottle progression (rarity)

  • Deckhand's Draft (Common)
  • Bilgebrew Flask (Uncommon)
  • Tempest Vial (Rare)
  • Siren's Sip (Epic)
  • Ember-Spiced Elixir (Legendary)
  • Captain's Eternal Reserve (Mythic)

Design intent: each bottle tier yields ~3.1× more RUM than the tier below to reward upgrading. For the exact production rates per rarity, see $RUM.

Chests

Distribution evolves with each phase. Today, bottle chests are sold out — bottles are primarily acquired through Fatebound Caches, while Fleet Era introduces dedicated chest-style drops for ships and pirates.

Fatebound Cache

A chest touched by the tide and wild luck alike. Each Cache cracks open 10 times, spilling treasures from across the Captain's Helm collection: resources, map fragments, bottles… and if the season blesses you, the elusive Ancient Key.

Drop probabilities

  • Driftwood Shard: 9%
  • Coral Bead: 9%
  • Kraken Ink: 9%
  • Map Fragments I–VI: 9% each
  • Deckhand's Draft: 9%
  • Bilgebrew Flask: 3%
  • Golden Fang: 3%
  • Pirate's Relic: 3%
  • Ancient Key: 1%

Those who uncover the Ancient Key may unlock an additional Cache through a special blend. Keys can also be held for future seasonal vaults and events.

See Events & Systems for more on caches, blends, and rotations.

Fleet Cache

What the sea leaves behind, pirates claim. The Derelict Fleet Cache contains salvaged ships recovered from wrecked fleets, failed invasions, and forgotten waters.

What's inside: 5 Ship NFTs per cache • scouting, cargo, and battle ships included • ships are drawn independently • mythic ships are not in packs (blend-only)

Ship odds (per ship)

  • Common: 55%
  • Uncommon: 25%
  • Rare: 13%
  • Epic: 5%
  • Legendary: 2%

Fleet Contract

Every fleet begins with a signature. The Fleet Contract summons fifteen pirates from across the seas — some desperate, some disciplined, some legendary.

What's inside: 15 Pirate NFTs per contract • 5 classes included • pirates are drawn independently • mythic pirates are not in packs

Pirate odds (per pirate)

  • Common: 55%
  • Uncommon: 25%
  • Rare: 13%
  • Epic: 5%
  • Legendary: 2%

Ancient Key

A rare utility item found via the dig pool, Discord giveaways, special drops — and very rarely inside the Fatebound Cache itself. One key can open one Fatebound Cache; higher-rarity chests (pirates/ships) can cost more keys. Keys can also be used in blends to open chests.

Treasure Hunt Pass

Hunt Passes are event tickets used to enter Treasure Hunt runs and other seasonal loops. They are designed as repeatable sinks that keep resources and $RUM moving. For the full structure, tiers, and reward loop, see Events & Systems.

Helmsmen token

The Helmsmen token is a VIP-style NFT used to unlock premium access across select systems — including special blends, boosted utilities, and high-impact rotations. When a system is Helmsmen-gated, it's meant to reward long-term captains without breaking the broader economy.

You'll see it referenced most in Twitch & Waves and Events & Systems.

Fleet Era

Ships and crew NFTs add a strategic layer where assets are used, maintained, and improved through meaningful decisions.

See Fleet Era for the rollout plan and the latest mechanics.
