Twitch & Waves

Twitch is the entry point. Viewers become pirates, earn Waves, and turn participation into progression through controlled sinks and prize pools.

Waves

Waves are the in-stream loyalty currency. You earn them by watching and engaging, then you spend them to access ScurvyBot prize pools (NFTs and tokens) and other economy routes.

Waves production

Waves are designed to feel steady and readable. Production is split between passive earning and active engagement systems (like fishing tips and boosts).

Rates

  • Watching: 10.00 Waves per 10 minutes
  • Watching (subscriber): 12.50 Waves per 10 minutes
  • Watching (actively chatting): 15.00 Waves per 10 minutes
  • Subscription / gifted sub: 750.00 Waves
  • 100 bits cheered: 125.00 Waves
  • Raiding (per viewer): 12.50 Waves

These rates are the backbone and are intended to stay stable. Temporary boosts can occur during special events, but the baseline does not shift day-to-day.

ScurvyBot

ScurvyBot is the Web3 reward engine behind Captain's Helm Twitch gameplay. It handles Waves, prize pools, and the on-chain bridge — so a viewer can earn and redeem value through simple actions in chat, without needing crypto knowledge on day one.

Prize pools

ScurvyBot is responsible for the prize pools: one pool for NFTs and one for tokens. Twitch activity feeds Waves and currencies into those pools, then the pools pay out via chat interactions.

NFT pool

!dig — spend 50 Waves to roll treasure.

Base success: 15% • Cooldown: 15 minutes

Dig pool (base)

  • Driftwood Shard (450 / 1,000)
  • Coral Bead (200 / 1,000)
  • Kraken Ink (100 / 1,000)
  • Golden Fang (40 / 1,000)
  • Pirate's Relic (10 / 1,000)
  • Map Fragments (I–VI) (200 / 1,000)

This is the baseline pool. From time to time, special drops can appear (Ancient Keys, bottles, pirates, ships). See NFT Collection for those categories.

Token pool

!redeem — convert Waves through the token pool.

RUM pool: Rate 0.10% • Min 60 • Max 1000 • Cooldown 10 minutes

From time to time, Captain's Helm may host token pools from other collections for collaborations.

Useful ScurvyBot commands

  • !store — shows a link to the storefront (buy select Captain's Helm NFTs using Waves)
  • !bal — check your Waves balance
  • !digpool — view the current NFT pool
  • !tokenpool — view the current token pool
  • !digbooster — view active dig boosters (incl. template IDs)
  • !redeembooster — view active redeem boosters (incl. template IDs)

Coffer Coins

Coffer Coins are basically a Captain's Helm flavor of Twitch Channel Points: an off-chain currency used for targeted redemptions and stream-side progression.

Think of them as the captain's budget for utility rewards — a way to turn consistent support into specific outcomes (instead of pure luck).

Current redemption options

  • Cash Out Waves: 1,000 Coins → 100 Waves
  • Map Fragments I–VI: 10,000 Coins each
  • Tip Surge — Silver Hour: 400 CP • 1h
  • Tip Surge — Rolling Sea: 1300 CP • 4h
  • Tip Surge — Kraken's Fortune: 2500 CP • 8h

For stacking rules and caps, see ParrBot.

More spending options can appear over time (especially around events).

Boosters: fragments → maps → treasure

Boosters are the bridge between pure chat activity and high-intensity treasure loops. Map fragments are the building blocks; maps are the assembled key; and treasures are the payoff.

Map fragments (I–VI)

Both maps use the same six fragments: North Shore Cliffs, Serpent's Pass, The Kraken's Spine, Drowned Grotto, Skull Rock Fork, and X Marked Dunes.

Permanent map boosters (crafted)

  • Digger's Map: +10% to Dig
  • Redeemer's Map: +10% to Redeem
  • Ingredients: 6 fragments + 10 RUM

Permanent treasure boosters (crafted)

  • Digger's Treasure: +20% to Dig
  • Redeemer's Treasure: +20% to Redeem
  • Ingredients: the matching map + 30 RUM

Ultimate Treasure (Helmsmen only)

  • Effect: +20% lifetime boost to both Dig and Redeem
  • Requires: Helmsmen token + 2× Digger's Treasures + 2× Redeemer's Treasures
  • Cost: 100 RUM • Limit: 100 mints 1 per account

Ultimate Treasure stacks with all previous boosters.

The High Tides Booster (monthly)

The High Tides Booster can be bought once per wallet each month and lasts for a full month. When active, it boosts both Dig and Redeem by +10%.

It expires at month end (keeps value for the Black Market blend).

Stacking result

Maps + treasures = +50%. With High Tide active = +60% total.

For !dig: base 15% + 60% boost = 75% effective chance.

Design principle

Twitch systems should feel rewarding immediately, but always feed into the long-term loop: earn → spend → reinvest.
