Twitch & Waves
Waves
Waves are the in-stream loyalty currency. You earn them by watching and engaging, then spend them to access ScurvyBot prize pools (NFTs and tokens) and other economy routes.
Baseline production
- Watching: 10.00 Waves per 10 minutes
- Watching (subscriber): 12.50 Waves per 10 minutes
- Watching (actively chatting): 15.00 Waves per 10 minutes
- Subscription / gifted sub: 750.00 Waves
- 100 bits cheered: 125.00 Waves
- Raiding (per viewer): 12.50 Waves
Baseline rates are intended to stay stable. Temporary event boosts can appear without shifting the day-to-day backbone.
Skirmish weekly WAVES
Fleet Skirmish weeks (Week 1 starts 7 Sep 2026 UTC) also allocate a config-versioned 100,000 WAVES pool alongside 10,000 RUM, split proportionally by eligible points for Captain's Papers–linked captains. After finalization, WAVES are delivered on Twitch via ParrBot !tip / ScurvyBot. RUM is paid manually. See the Skirmish chapter for scoring and eligibility. Skirmish weekly rewards are RUM + WAVES only — not pack inventory from this path.
ScurvyBot
ScurvyBot is the Web3 reward engine behind Captain's Helm Twitch gameplay. It handles Waves, prize pools, and the on-chain bridge — so a viewer can earn and redeem value through chat without needing crypto knowledge on day one.
NFT pool
!dig — spend 50 Waves to roll treasure.
Base success: 15% • Cooldown: 15 minutes
Baseline dig pool includes resources and Map Fragments; special drops rotate. See NFT Collection.
Token pool
!redeem — convert Waves through the token pool when enabled.
Pool rates, mins/maxes, and cooldowns are live configuration — check !tokenpool in chat for current values.
Useful ScurvyBot commands
- !store — storefront link (buy select NFTs with Waves)
- !bal — Waves balance
- !digpool / !tokenpool — current pools
- !digbooster / !redeembooster — active boosters
Coffer Coins
Coffer Coins are Captain's Helm flavor of Twitch Channel Points: an off-chain budget for targeted redemptions and stream-side progression.
Example redemptions
- Cash Out Waves: 1,000 Coins → 100 Waves
- Map Fragments I–VI: 10,000 Coins each
Available redemptions rotate with the stream. Channel Point menus are the live source of truth.
Boosters: fragments → maps → treasure
Boosters bridge chat activity and high-intensity treasure loops. Map fragments assemble into maps; maps craft into treasures; Helmsmen can unlock Ultimate Treasure.
Map fragments (I–VI)
Both maps use the same six fragments: North Shore Cliffs, Serpent's Pass, The Kraken's Spine, Drowned Grotto, Skull Rock Fork, and X Marked Dunes.
Permanent map boosters
- Digger's Map: +10% Dig
- Redeemer's Map: +10% Redeem
- Ingredients: 6 fragments + 10 RUM
Permanent treasure boosters
- Digger's Treasure: +20% Dig
- Redeemer's Treasure: +20% Redeem
- Ingredients: 2× matching map + 30 RUM
Ultimate Treasure (Helmsmen)
- +20% lifetime boost to Dig and Redeem
- Requires Helmsmen token + 2× Digger's Treasures + 2× Redeemer's Treasures
- Cost: 100 RUM • Limit: 100 mints • 1 per account
High Tides Booster (monthly)
Once per wallet each month; lasts a full month; +10% to Dig and Redeem while active. Expires at month end (keeps value for Black Market blends).
Stacking result
Maps + treasures = +50%. With High Tide = +60%. For !dig: base 15% + 60% boost = 75% effective chance.
Design principle
Twitch systems should feel rewarding immediately, but always feed the long-term loop: earn → spend → reinvest. Live fleet combat and Papers-linked standings are documented in Skirmish.
